Waldemar Sakalus
Vice President of Devices Experiences, Nokia
Waldemar Sakalus has been with Nokia since mid nineties and currently serves as Vice President, Device Experiences. In this role he is responsible for ensuring the deployment and experience of Ovi and partner services on Nokia devices.
Since joining Nokia Waldemar held a number of progressively senior positions, including System Manager, General Manager of Applications Management, Director of Terminal Enhancements, Director of Nokia Automotive, Director of Business Development in Mobile Phones, and VP of Strategy and Business Development in Mobile Phones.
Waldemar holds an MBA from Insead in France and an MSc. and Engineering degree from Warsaw University of Technology in Poland.

Doug Garland
Vice President of Product Management, Google
Doug Garland is Vice President of Product Management at Google, where he focuses on delivering services to consumers through partnerships. Additionally, he helps drive the company’s initiative to foster the development of a robust and open wireless broadband ecosystem.
Doug has over 20 years of experience leading the development and growth of internet and wireless services. Prior to joining Google, Doug was an Executive in Residence at the venture capital firm of Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, serving as an advisor on mobile. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President at Yahoo!, where he led the company’s mobile efforts and the launch of the broadband access business. He also held executive positions with Excite@Home and leading wireless companies, playing a key role in the launch of Sprint PCS and the development of digital cellular while at PacTel/AirTouch. Doug began his career as a communications network engineer and served as an officer in the US Air Force.
Doug holds an MBA from Stanford University, where he participated in the Public Management Program, including a brief stint as a Visiting Policy Fellow at the FCC. He also holds a BS with distinction and ME in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, where he currently is a trustee of the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
