Sandra Carvalho

Business Mobility Marketing Director, M Marketing Operations, Nokia

Sandra Carvalho is Director of Global Marketing for Business Mobility at Nokia. In this role, Sandra leads Marketing strategy for the Enterprise audience as well as all related go to market channels, program development, and digital marketing.

Prior to joining Nokia, Sandra spent 12+ years working for B2B Companies namely IBM where she led Marketing communications for Software and Services product lines. She also worked at BearingPoint, a Business and IT consulting firm where she spearheaded a global rollout of brand identity for the company inclusive of brand strategy and related messaging across communications platforms.

Sandra attended the Marymount Campus of Fordham University and has a Bachelor of Science in International Business, Political Science and Business Administration. A native of Lisbon, Portugal, Sandra has lived in several countries in Europe and Africa. She speaks fluent English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

David Petts

Senior Vice President of Business Mobility Sales, Nokia

As Senior Vice President, David Petts is responsible for managing the global Business Mobility sales channel in the Markets organization, Nokia. In this role, David oversees the sales of services & software and devices to the business customers. David is based in the Nokia White Plains office in New York. He is a member of the Markets Management Team and reports to Timo Ihamuotila, Executive Vice President, Nokia Sales.

David began with Nokia in July of 2005. Prior to joining Nokia, David served as Vice President of the Americas Software business for Hewlett Packard (HP). In this position, he managed the business through a significant turn-around. Prior to his leadership, the HP Americas Software business had experienced nine successive quarters of missed goals and declining revenue.

A seventeen-year veteran of HP-Compaq, David has an impressive track record of success leading sales, marketing and operations teams in the Americas, UK and Ireland. Since 1988, David successfully served in positions of increasing responsibility for HP/Compaq including Vice President Industry Standard Servers, Vice President World Wide Engagement, Vice President for Marketing, CPCG and PC Business Director.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and computer science from Queen Mary College, University of London.

Currently, David, his wife and their three daughters reside in Pound Ridge, N.Y.

Mohammad Khan

President & Founder, ViVOtech

Mohammad Khan is the President and Founder of ViVOtech – the market leader in NFC mobile payments, promotions, Over-The-Air (OTA) provisioning infrastructure software, transaction management software, and contactless terminals. Prior to ViVOtech, Mr. Khan joined VeriFone in its early stage where he held several management positions during the 15 years he spent with VeriFone. Mr. Khan helped the company develop its payment automation systems and later helped successfully market these products in more than 96 countries.

Mr. Khan was also a co-founder of the Internet Commerce business for VeriFone. Mohammad Khan has been recognized as a leader of the Electronic Payments Industry by the Transaction Trends Magazine and as a “Mover and Shaker” of the Electronic Payments Industry by the Transaction World magazine.

Damian Parkinson

Head of ICT

Damian started at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service in November 2003. He is currently the Brigade Management Team member responsible for all IT systems including our Command and Control Systems, all communications in terms of radio, telephony, mobile phones, networking, data and anything else concerning our electronic communications.

Although he started life as an engineer, Damian entered IT nearly 20 years ago and has since built up an impressive career history. Prior to working at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, he worked in the NHS as Head of IT for a hospital in Liverpool. He has also worked for Liverpool and Manchester Councils, as well as in the private sector for a company called CAPITA which specialised in software for the education market.

Pejman Roshan

Interim CEO and a founder of Agito Networks

Mr. Pejman Roshan is the Interim CEO and a founder of Agito Networks. He brings more than 16 years of wireless expertise and an extensive track record to the company.

Prior to founding Agito, Mr. Roshan was Product Line Manager in the Cisco Systems Wireless Networking Business Unit, responsible for software, security, voice and WLAN management products. Roshan joined Cisco’s Wireless Networking Business Unit just after its acquisition of Aironet in 2000, helping drive Cisco into its wireless market leadership position.

Prior to his product role at Cisco, Mr. Roshan spent eight years as a network engineer and architect. Mr. Roshan designed and deployed large-scale networks for companies such as Cisco Systems and Automatic Data Processing (ADP).

Mr. Roshan’s accomplishments include participation in the IEEE 802.11 task groups responsible for security (802.11i) and QoS (802.11e); co-authoring the Cisco Press book 802.11 Wireless LAN Fundamentals, published by Cisco Systems in 2004; as well as publishing numerous wireless security and wireless voice white papers.

Mr. Roshan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic (Cal Poly) University.

Alistair Rennie

Vice President, Development and Technical Support Workplace, Portals and Collaboration Software IBM

Alistair Rennie is a member of the Workplace, Portals and Collaboration Software (WPLC) senior management team serving as the Vice President of Development and Support. In this role Alistair is responsible for the development of all Lotus products and the WebSphere Portal product families. Alistair also leads worldwide technical support responsible for software customer satisfaction. Prior to this role, Alistair led IBM Software Services for WPLC, a global technical organization consisting of over 800 highly skilled technical consultants working in more than 35 countries, helping customers realize value from the WPLC portfolio.

Alistair joined IBM at the Toronto Software Laboratory in 1989 and has held a number of executive roles within IBM Software, primarily focused on the introduction of new technologies. Recent assignments have included the office of Vice President of Marketing and Partners for Lotus and Workplace and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Pervasive Computing. Alistair has degrees in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.

Ilari Nurmi

Vice President of Eseries, Nokia

Ilari Nurmi is Vice President of Eseries, a position he has held since 1 January 2008. In this role, Ilari has responsibility for go-to-market planning, go-to-market execution and sales of the Nokia’s Eseries device line up.

Since joining Nokia 1998, Ilari has held several management positions in product management and business development. Prior to his current role, Ilari was Director of Product Management in the S60 Platform unit of Nokia Technology Platforms being responsible for strategic product planning, product management, user experience management and sales support functions of the S60 Platform.

Ilari holds a Master of Science in Engineering degree with an emphasis on business strategy and operations research from the Helsinki University of Technology.

Kara Wilson

Vice President of Marketing, UC, Cisco

Kara Wilson has an extensive track record in driving product and corporate marketing strategy in the enterprise applications and application performance management space. She is responsible for increasing market perception of Cisco’s Unified Communications Solutions. Cisco is addressing this market through its unified workspace solutions that enable people to communicate and collaborate independent of device, operating system, network type or business application. Wilson’s business applications domain expertise complements the bench strength of the Cisco Unified Communications management team’s background in networking, business communications, contact center, user interfaces, and devices. Her addition is timely as our customers begin to enter the Transform Phase of Cisco’s Five-Phase Plan for Unified Communications, where customers move beyond cost mitigation and productivity to transformation of business processes.

Prior to joining Cisco, Ms. Wilson was the CMO of Network General where she was responsible for all aspects of the company’s global marketing strategy, including product and solution marketing, field and channel marketing, branding, and corporate communications. Prior to Network General, she was group vice president of marketing at PeopleSoft before its acquisition by Oracle. Before joining PeopleSoft, Ms. Wilson managed product marketing and enterprise applications implementations at Andersen Consulting and Sybase. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
