Mark Selby
Vice President Industry Collaborations, Nokia
Mark Selby has responsibility for Nokia’s relationships with external industry, academic, regulatory and citizen organisations in building the ecosystems for next generation mobile applications, services and technologies. A recognized authority on mobility, emerging technologies and convergence, he has worked in the mobile, broadcast and IT industries for over 20 years.
Mark was formerly Vice President, Multimedia, with global responsibility for Nokia’s multimedia experience operations, including Mobile TV, Radio, imaging, audio, video, and Social Media and Networks implementations.
Prior to joining Nokia in May 2004, he was Senior Vice President at IMG Media/TWI, responsible for the group’s mobile activities in sports, entertainment, TV, radio and online, including production, rights and technology. IMG Media/TWI is the largest independent sports TV producer.
Mark was formerly CEO of Mobile Channel Network, which designed, produced and delivered a wide range of mobile services, including Essential Sports, MTV mobile, Big Brother and Mobile Ibiza. He has worked with many rights holders, including Manchester United and Liverpool Football Clubs, the International Rugby Board, the International Olympic Committee, musicians, athletes and models.
Mark’s previous roles include President of Solid Information Technology, Executive Director Health On the Net Foundation, President Internet Society, Geneva, radio producer and presenter at WRS-FM, board member of Linux International and senior executive roles at Digital Equipment Corp. and Xerox. He was appointed Expert to the European Commission on EDI in 1987.
Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo
President and CEO, Nokia
Olli-Pekka joined Nokia in 1980 as Corporate Counsel, and has held roles of increasing responsibility since that time. In 1987, he was appointed Assistant Vice President, Legal Department, and in 1988, he was named Assistant Vice President, Finance. In 1990, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance.
In 1992, Olli-Pekka was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 1997-1998 he served as Corporate Executive Vice President, Nokia Americas, responsible for all of Nokia’s operations in the Americas. He returned to the CFO position in 1999. From 2004 to 2005, he was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Phones.
He was named President and COO in 2005, and took the helm of Nokia the following year.
Olli-Pekka has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Nokia since 1990, and has been Chairman of the Board of Nokia Siemens Networks since its formation in 2007. Olli-Pekka also serves on the board of the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK.
He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Helsinki. Prior to joining Nokia, Olli-Pekka held a variety of positions with the Union Bank of Finland.

Anssi Vanjoki
Executive Vice President, Markets, Nokia
Starting January 1, 2008, Anssi Vanjoki is Executive Vice President and General Manager of the new Markets unit. In this function Anssi is responsible for sales, marketing, manufacturing and logistics of all Nokia products and services. He is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 1998.
A highly respected brand and marketing authority, Anssi has been a visionary force in Nokia's efforts to address mobility markets. His work has focused on developing the Nokia brand and the convergence of mobility and the Internet. From 2004, he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Multimedia, with overall responsibility for the Nokia Nseries multimedia computer device fleet and Nokia services.
Anssi joined Nokia in 1991 and was named Vice President, Sales, Nokia Mobile Phones, before his promotion in 1994 to Senior Vice President, Nokia Mobile Phones Europe and Africa. In 1998 he was made Executive Vice President, Nokia Mobile Phones Europe and Africa. In addition, in 1999, he took responsibility for Nokia's Digital Convergence Unit and, in 2002, also headed up the Business Unit Management.
Anssi is the chairman of the board of Amer Sports Corporation, and was a member of the Governing Committee of the European Foundation for Quality Management 2001 - 2003. He is a Knight, 1st Class, of the Order of the White Rose of Finland and Commander of the Order of the White Rose of Finland.
Prior to joining Nokia, he held a variety of management positions at the 3M Corporation.
He holds a master's degree in economics from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration.

Rene Obermann
Chief Executive Officer, Deutsche Telekom
René Obermann, born in March 1963 in Düsseldorf, Germany, has been Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Telekom since November 2006.
He joined the Group in 1998 as the Managing Director Sales for T-Mobile Deutschland GmbH. In April 2000, he became Chief Executive Officer of T-Mobile Deutschland. Internationally, he assumed responsibility for the European business of T-Mobile International AG & Co. KG one year later as the Board Member for European Operations and Group Synergies.
From the end of 2002 to December 2006, he was CEO of T-Mobile International AG & Co. KG and the Deutsche Telekom Board Member for Mobile Communications. In this period, T-Mobile continued its growth course as one of the leading mobile operators in the world with more than 100 million customers, successfully introducing the T-Mobile brand in eleven countries.
René Obermann’s career began with a business traineeship at BMW in Munich. Following that, he set up his own business ABC Telekom in Münster in 1986. He became Managing Partner of Hutchison Mobilfunk GmbH, the successor of ABC Telekom, in 1991. From 1994 to 1998, Obermann was Chairman of the company’s Management Board.
René Obermann has been a presidium member of the German industry association BITKOM since March 2007. In the 1990’s, he was Chairman of the former German Association of Mobile Communication Service Providers for two years.

Chamath Palihapitiya is the Vice President of User Growth, Mobile and International Expansion at Facebook and is responsible for spreading Facebook throughout the world through new growth initiatives, mobile strategy and internationalization. Chamath joined Facebook from The Mayfield Fund, a leading venture capital firm. Prior to Mayfield, Chamath spent five years with AOL, most recently as the Vice President and General Manager of AIM and ICQ.

Niklas Savander
Executive Vice President, Services, Nokia
Starting January 1, 2008, Niklas Savander is Executive Vice President of the Services unit. He is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2006.
He joined Nokia in 1997 and has held a variety of senior business management, strategy, sales and marketing positions covering the device and network businesses. In his previous role as Executive Vice President, Technology Platforms, he was responsible for the centralized R&D execution, software and technology management as well as product creation processes across the company.
In 2003, Niklas was appointed Senior Vice President, Mobile Devices Business Unit, Enterprise Solutions.
He is the deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tamfelt Oyj and a Member of the Board and secretary of Waldemar von Frenckells Stiftelse. On April 1, 2007 Savander was also appointed as a Member of the Board of Nokia Siemens Networks.
Prior to joining Nokia, he spent nine years with Hewlett-Packard in Finland, Germany and Switzerland. During this time, he held roles ranging from the position of account manager to leading the company’s Technical Systems Business for Europe, Middle East & Africa.
He holds a Master’s degree in Science from the Helsinki University of Technology and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki. He is fluent in Swedish, English, German and Finnish.
Niklas was born August 4, 1962, in Helsinki, Finland. He is married and has two children. And he enjoys playing and refereeing ice-hockey, telemark skiing and golf.
Mary McDowell
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development Office, Nokia
Starting January 1, 2008, Mary T. McDowell is Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer leading the newly established Corporate Development Office. Mary is responsible for optimizing Nokia's strategic capabilities and growth potential and managing key operational functions. In the capacity of enabling Nokia’s future, she oversees Corporate Strategy, Nokia Research Center, and Corporate Business Development. She also oversees Nokia IT, Nokia Solutions Portfolio Management, and Compatibility and Industry Collaboration, which are focused on managing operational elements of the integrated company. Mary is also a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2004.
Mary joined Nokia in 2004 as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Solutions, with responsibility for the development and manufacturing of Nokia’s range of enterprise products and solutions. These included Nokia Eseries mobile business device range, mobility software, as well as security and mobile connectivity solutions. She was named of the 10 “Top Women in Wireless” in July 2008 by Fierce Wireless.
A 17-year veteran of HP-Compaq, Mary has a track record of success in building new business and is widely respected as an industry innovator. Prior to joining Nokia, Mary served for five years as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Industry-Standard Servers at Hewlett Packard and Compaq, a multi- billion dollar business and the world's largest server franchise.
In this role, Mary had worldwide P&L responsibility for HP's ProLiant server business, which held the number one position in a highly competitive market for over a decade. Previous assignments include vice president of marketing for the server products division, director of strategic planning and director of systems product marketing. She joined Compaq as a systems engineer in 1986.
Mary was born on July 23, 1964. She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Illinois.
Carol Realini
Chief Executive Officer, Obopay
Carol Realini recognized early on the need and opportunity in both industrialized and developing nations, for mobile financial services to serve people everywhere. In 2005, Realini founded Obopay to meet the nascent need for an industry leader in mobile payments. She brings a successful track record in the technology industry and in 2008 was named one of the 50 Top Women in Technology by Corporate Board Magazine.
