Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo
President and CEO, Nokia – will deliver a keynote address at the 2010 International CES® as part of the third annual Technology and Emerging Countries (TEC) program, which focuses on technology’s role in furthering economic and sustainable development.
Olli-Pekka joined Nokia in 1980 as Corporate Counsel, and has held roles of increasing responsibility since that time. In 1987, he was appointed Assistant Vice President, Legal Department, and in 1988, he was named Assistant Vice President, Finance. In 1990, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance.
In 1992, Olli-Pekka was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 1997-1998 he served as Corporate Executive Vice President, Nokia Americas, responsible for all of Nokia’s operations in the Americas. He returned to the CFO position in 1999. From 2004 to 2005, he was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Phones.
He was named President and COO in 2005, and took the helm of Nokia the following year.
Olli-Pekka has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Nokia since 1990, and has been Chairman of the Board of Nokia Siemens Networks since its formation in 2007. Olli-Pekka also serves on the board of the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK.
He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Helsinki. Prior to joining Nokia, Olli-Pekka held a variety of positions with the Union Bank of Finland.

Executive Vice President, Services, Nokia – The explosion of GPS-enabled navigation products in recent years has produced a variety of options – from hand-held and prortable devices to in-dash vehicle systems to cell phones with built-in navigation functions. Which form factor is leading the pack today? Which will prevail three years from now?
Starting January 1, 2009, Tero Ojanperä holds the position of Executive Vice President, Services. He is also a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2005.
A sought-after industry commentator, author and speaker, he has played a defining role in the research and development work of Nokia’s business groups since joining the company in 1990. During 2008, he served as Executive Vice President, Entertainment and Communities with overall responsibility for Nokia offerings in music, video and TV, games, software distribution and social networking services.
From 2006, he served as Chief Technology Officer, a wide ranging role spanning corporate and technology strategy, strategic alliances and partnerships, research, standardization, intellectual property rights, venturing, Mobile Software sales and marketing, Forum Nokia developer activities, business infrastructure and Industry Relations.
In 2005, Tero held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. During 2003-2004 he headed Nokia Research Center, a corporate research unit driving Nokia’s technological competitiveness and renewal. Prior to this role, he held several senior management positions in the former Nokia Networks.
He holds a master’s of science degree from the University of Oulu, Finland and a Ph.D degree from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.
Tero was born Nov 12, 1966, in Korsnäs, Finland. He is married and has three children, and he enjoys reading, sports and spending time with his family.

Michael Halbherr
Location-based services that let you pinpoint the whereabouts of friends and family members on a cell phone have yet to go mainstream. Will they break out, and if so, when? Location-based services pioneers explore the market potential for services such as AT&T’s FamilyMaps and address pressing social questions that come with the territory.
Michael Halbherr is Vice President, Social Location in the Services business unit in Nokia. In this role, Michael is responsible for heading the Social Location business including maps and other location based services. Before joining Nokia in 2006, Michael worked for the Boston Consulting Group and at europatweb, the Internet investment vehicle of Groupe Arnault, overseeing all technology investments, including gate5. After that Michael headed gate5 AG, the former leading supplier of mapping, routing and navigation software and services, for five years. Since the acquisition of gate5 through Nokia, Michael has been heading the location based experiences in Nokia.
Michael holds a PhD in Computer Science from MIT and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich.
